This policy explains how Evangeline Labs, LLC ("Evangeline Labs," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares information through this website and our CollaBOARate web and mobile apps (the "Services"). CollaBOARate is provided to businesses ("Customers") for use by their employees and authorized users ("Users").
1. Our role
When a Customer uses CollaBOARate, the Customer decides what information is entered and how it is used, and we process that information on the Customer's behalf. If you are an employee using CollaBOARate through your employer, please direct privacy requests to your employer; we will help them respond.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, work email, phone number, job title, profile photo and the groups or locations you belong to.
- Content you create: posts, comments, messages, photos, files, form and report answers, and reactions.
- Work records: schedules, time clock punches, time-off requests and balances, and mileage entries.
- Location: if your employer enables time clock or mileage features, the app collects your device location when you clock in or out and, where enabled, while you are clocked in, to verify work location and calculate mileage. We do not collect location when you are not clocked in. You can control location permission in your device settings, though some features may not work without it.
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, push notification tokens, log data and crash reports.
- Website contacts: information you send us by email.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain and secure the Services, including sign-in codes, notifications and reminders.
- To support Customers and Users and respond to requests.
- To improve reliability and fix problems.
- To comply with law and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Customer data for advertising.
4. How we share information
- Within your organization: content and records are visible to other Users and administrators of your Customer account according to its settings.
- Service providers: hosting, database, email delivery, push notifications and mapping providers that process data for us under contract.
- Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect rights, safety and security.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep Customer data for as long as the Customer's account is active and as directed by the Customer, then delete or return it within a reasonable period unless law requires otherwise. Users can request account deletion from within the app or by emailing us.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, separation of each Customer's data and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure.
7. Children
The Services are intended for workplace use and are not directed to children under 16.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Contact us or your employer to make a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new effective date here. Significant changes will be communicated to Customers.
