Say the count. Hear it back. Order to par.
ParOkay is a voice app for distributor reps who count, date and order in grocery stores. Walk the case, call out what you see, and ParOkay builds the order sheet and the 10 Day Sheet for you.

ParOkay
Par + Okay: count it out loud, hear it back, order to par
ParOkay is our in-store ordering and dating app. It turns the paper order guide, the clipboard and the handwritten 10 Day Sheet into one app on the rep’s phone. You talk, and like a parrot it repeats every count back to you, so you know it heard you right without looking at the screen. When you’re done counting, the order is already worked out, in pieces, for every item.
ParOkay was built by a food distributor sales rep who used to spend about three hours on every handwritten store order. It’s in early testing in the field now.
How it works
Pick the store and the department, tap once to start listening, and work the case.
Count by voice
Say the item code or name and the count: 102 is one. ParOkay answers “Deluxe Ham is one”. Counts add up as you move between locations in the store, and you can say scratch that or zero an item out if you misspoke.
Say “ten day” for near-dated product
Switch modes by voice. In ten day mode, 14006 is 3 at 10/19 and 2 at 10/15 logs each lot with its sell-by date on the 10 Day Sheet, without touching your on-hand count. Say inventory to go back to counting.
The order builds itself
ParOkay compares this week to last week, works out what sold, and suggests the order in pieces for every item. You review it, adjust anything you want, and mark it final.
Sign, print or email at the store
The order sheet and the 10 Day Sheet have signature lines for the store manager and the rep. Print them at the store or email them from the phone.
Moving pars, not static pars
Static pars go stale the week a store’s business changes. ParOkay recalculates the par for every item, every week, from what actually sold in that store.
Potential to sell = the best week of the last 4 to 6 weeks
Order = potential to sell + 1 to 3 display pieces (by volume) − on hand
13 weeks of history
Each store keeps 13 weeks of on hand and orders, laid out like the paper order guide, and it carries forward every week.
Every department on its own
Cold Cuts, Meat and Deli each get their own order and their own 10-day list, tied to the store automatically.
Ordered in pieces
Suggestions are in pieces, the way reps actually order, with display pieces scaled to each item’s volume.
Built for the store floor
Works with no signal
Once it’s on the phone, ParOkay runs offline, in the back of the store, in the cooler, wherever the signal drops.
Private, on-device voice
Speech is recognized on the phone itself. Your voice isn’t sent to Google or any other speech service.
Per-store item lists
The full product list comes from the distributor’s order guide, and items a store doesn’t carry can be hidden for that store and department only.
ParOkay is in testing
ParOkay is being tested in stores right now and isn’t open for sign-ups yet. Testers can sign in below. If you run a sales or merchandising team and want to hear when it opens up, email us.
